Homing receptor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005350
A cell surface receptor that mediates the directed migration of cells, particularly leukocytes, to specific anatomical locations. These receptors recognize and bind to specific ligands, often adhesion molecules or chemokines, expressed on the endothelial cells lining blood vessels in target tissues. This interaction guides the cell to extravasate and enter the tissue.
