Hedrite
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005156
A polyhedral aggregate of stacked lamellar crystals whose outline looks like a polymer single crystal when viewed from at least one direction. It is a type of axialite, the name for a multilayer cluster of lamellae splaying out from a shared edge. Unlike a true single crystal, which has one lattice orientation, a hedrite is built from many lamellae.
