Vapor deposition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012511
A process for creating thin films or coatings by condensing a vaporized material onto a substrate. This technique involves transforming a solid or liquid precursor into a gaseous state, transporting it to the substrate, and then allowing it to deposit as a solid film. It is widely used in polymer science for fabricating functional coatings and devices.
