Solvent vapor annealing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011033
A post-processing technique used to induce self-assembly or crystallization in polymer thin films by exposing them to solvent vapors. The absorbed solvent temporarily plasticizes the polymer, increasing chain mobility and allowing for structural reorganization. This method is often employed to control the morphology of block copolymer films for lithographic applications.
