Rod-like morphology
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010400
A structural characteristic of a material where its constituent particles or domains are elongated and cylindrical in shape. This morphology can arise from the self-assembly of molecules or the processing conditions of a polymeric material. Such structures are often observed in liquid crystalline polymers or in block copolymers.
