Microdomain morphology

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007316

The spatial arrangement and shape of distinct microscopic regions, or microdomains, within a multiphase polymeric material, such as a block copolymer. These microdomains arise from the thermodynamic incompatibility of different polymer blocks, leading to phase separation on a nanometer scale. The morphology can include spheres, cylinders, lamellae, or more complex structures, influencing the material's bulk properties.
