Microdialysis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007315
A sampling technique that involves implanting a small probe with a semi-permeable membrane into a tissue or fluid to collect analytes. A perfusate solution flows through the probe, and small molecules diffuse across the membrane into the perfusate, which is then collected for analysis. This method is often applied in neuroscience to monitor neurotransmitter levels in the brain.
