Equilibrium dialysate

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004058

The solution on one side of a semi-permeable membrane after a dialysis process has reached equilibrium. At this point, the concentration of diffusible species is uniform across the membrane, while non-diffusible components remain separated. This technique is often used to separate small molecules from macromolecules.
