Colloid

A substance consisting of particles dispersed throughout another substance, where the dispersed particles are larger than individual molecules but small enough not to settle out rapidly. These particles typically have at least one dimension in the range of 1 nanometer to 1 micrometer. Examples include milk, fog, and paint.
