Equilibrium dissociation constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004059
A quantitative measure of the propensity of a larger complex to dissociate into its smaller constituent molecules at equilibrium. It is defined as the ratio of the product of the concentrations of the unbound components to the concentration of the complex. A lower value signifies a stronger binding affinity between the molecules, often expressed in units of molarity (M).
