Formation constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004597
An equilibrium constant that describes the formation of a complex in solution from its constituent metal ions and ligands. It quantifies the stability of the complex, with higher values indicating greater stability. This constant is expressed as a ratio of product concentrations to reactant concentrations at equilibrium.
