Stability constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011260
An equilibrium constant that quantifies the strength of the interaction between a metal ion and a ligand to form a coordination complex in solution. A higher stability constant indicates a more stable complex. These constants are typically expressed as association constants (Kf or β) and are measured under specific ionic strength and temperature conditions.
