Heteroconjugation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005233
The formation of a hydrogen-bonded complex between an acid and a base that are different chemical species. This interaction occurs in solution and involves the transfer of a proton between the acid and base. The strength of heteroconjugation can be quantified by measuring the equilibrium constant for the association.
