Chain-transfer constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001860
A dimensionless kinetic parameter that quantifies the efficiency of a chain-transfer agent in a polymerization reaction. It is defined as the ratio of the rate constant for chain transfer to the rate constant for chain propagation. A higher chain-transfer constant indicates a more effective reduction in polymer molecular weight.
