Mass transfer coefficient
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007002
A proportionality constant that relates the mass transfer rate of a component to the driving force for mass transfer, typically a concentration difference. It quantifies the efficiency of mass transport between phases or within a phase. The SI unit for mass transfer coefficient is meters per second (m/s).
