Frictional coefficient
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004676
A proportionality constant that relates the frictional force experienced by a particle or macromolecule moving through a fluid to its velocity. This coefficient depends on the size, shape, and surface properties of the particle, as well as the viscosity of the fluid. It is a key parameter in describing the diffusion and sedimentation of polymers in solution.
