Isotropic

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006262

Describing a material or system whose physical properties are identical in all directions. This uniformity means that measurements of properties like refractive index, electrical conductivity, or mechanical strength will yield the same value regardless of the orientation of the measurement. Many gases, liquids, and amorphous solids exhibit isotropic behavior.
