Isotropic
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000188
Describing a material that exhibits uniform physical properties in all directions. In additive manufacturing, achieving isotropic properties in printed parts is a goal, as many processes inherently produce anisotropic parts due to layer-by-layer fabrication. For example, tensile strength might differ significantly when measured along the build direction versus perpendicular to it.
