Anodic transfer coefficient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000631

A dimensionless parameter in electrochemistry that describes the fraction of the applied potential that contributes to the activation energy for an anodic (oxidation) reaction. It indicates the symmetry of the energy barrier for electron transfer at the electrode-solution interface. This coefficient typically has a value between 0 and 1.
