Anodic stripping voltammetry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000630

An electrochemical method for trace metal analysis that involves two steps: preconcentration and stripping. During preconcentration, the analyte metal ions are electrodeposited onto a working electrode at a negative potential. In the stripping step, the potential is scanned anodically, re-oxidizing the deposited metal back into solution and generating a current peak proportional to the original concentration.
