Stripping voltammetry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011485

An electrochemical analytical technique that involves two main steps: an initial preconcentration step where the analyte is deposited onto an electrode, followed by a stripping step where the accumulated analyte is re-oxidized or re-reduced from the electrode surface. The current generated during the stripping step is measured as a function of potential. This method offers high sensitivity for trace metal analysis.
