Carbon paste electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001646
An electrode constructed from a mixture of carbon powder and a non-conductive binder liquid, such as paraffin oil, packed into a cavity. This type of electrode offers a renewable surface by simply extruding and polishing the paste. It is widely used in electroanalytical chemistry due to its low background current and ease of modification.
