Indicator electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005771
An electrode in an electrochemical cell whose potential is sensitive to the concentration of a specific ion or species in the solution. This potential change is measured against a reference electrode to determine the analyte concentration. Examples include the glass electrode for pH measurement or a silver electrode for halide ions.
