pH-sensitive electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008944
An electrochemical sensor designed to measure the hydrogen ion activity (pH) of a solution. It generates an electrical potential that is directly proportional to the pH, typically following the Nernst equation. The most common type is the glass electrode, which has a thin glass membrane that responds selectively to hydrogen ions.
