Glass pH-sensitive electrode

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004893

An electrochemical sensor designed to measure the hydrogen ion activity (pH) of a solution, consisting of a thin glass membrane that develops a potential difference proportional to the pH gradient across it. The potential is measured against a reference electrode, and the response follows the Nernst equation. This electrode is widely used for routine pH measurements in laboratories and industry.
