pH glass electrode

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008705

An electrochemical sensor used to measure the hydrogen ion activity, and thus the pH, of a solution. It consists of a thin glass membrane that selectively responds to hydrogen ions, generating a potential difference proportional to the pH. This electrode is typically paired with a reference electrode to form a complete pH measuring system.
