Carbon electrode

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001635

An electrical conductor made from carbon or a carbon-based material, used to transfer electrons to or from a substance in an electrochemical cell. These electrodes exhibit good electrical conductivity and chemical inertness in many environments. Common forms include graphite, glassy carbon, and carbon paste electrodes.
