Carbon mix
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001645
A composite material formed by blending carbonaceous filler particles with a binder, typically pitch or resin. This mixture is then shaped and heat-treated to produce a solid carbon product. The composition and processing conditions determine the final properties of the carbon artifact, such as electrodes or refractories.
