Filler coke
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004418
A type of coke used as a particulate component in the manufacture of carbon artifacts, such as electrodes or structural carbon materials. It is typically derived from petroleum or coal and is characterized by its particle size distribution and graphitizability. This coke is mixed with a binder pitch and then formed and baked.
