Polygranular graphite

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009143

A form of graphite characterized by its microstructure consisting of multiple individual graphite grains or crystallites. These grains are typically bonded together, forming a bulk material with varying degrees of preferred orientation. It is a common form of manufactured graphite, used in applications requiring good electrical and thermal conductivity.
