Bulk concentration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001532

The average concentration of a chemical species within the main body of a solution, away from any interfaces or boundaries where local concentrations might differ. This value represents the overall composition of the solution before any localized processes, such as diffusion or reaction at an electrode surface, significantly alter the concentration profile. It is typically expressed in units like moles per liter (mol/L).
