Faraday constant

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004343

The magnitude of electric charge per mole of elementary charges, symbolized as F. It is the product of two other physical constants: the Avogadro constant and the elementary charge. The Faraday constant has a precisely defined value of 96485.3321233100184 coulombs per mole (C/mol) and is used extensively in electrochemical calculations, such as relating current flow to the amount of substance reacted in an electrolytic cell.
