Faradaic rectification current
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004342
A direct current component that arises when an alternating potential is applied to an electrode, causing a net DC current due to the non-linear kinetics of the faradaic reaction. This current is a result of the different rates of the forward and reverse electrode reactions over the AC cycle. It provides insights into the reversibility and kinetics of electrochemical processes.
