Equilibrium electrode potential
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004061
The potential difference established between an electrode and its surrounding electrolyte when no net current flows across the interface. This condition signifies that the rates of the forward and reverse electrochemical reactions are equal. It is typically measured against a reference electrode under zero-current conditions.
