Three-electrode cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012025
An electrochemical cell configuration that includes a working electrode, a counter electrode, and a reference electrode. The potential of the working electrode is controlled relative to the stable potential of the reference electrode, while the counter electrode carries the current required for the electrochemical reaction. This setup is commonly employed in voltammetry and other electrochemical techniques to accurately measure electrode potentials.
