Quasi-reference electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009776
An electrode that maintains a relatively stable potential during an electrochemical measurement, but whose potential is not precisely known or thermodynamically defined. It serves as a practical substitute for a true reference electrode in situations where a conventional reference electrode is impractical or undesirable. This type of electrode is often used in non-aqueous solvents or miniaturized electrochemical systems.
