Limiting current
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006598
The maximum current that can be achieved in an electrochemical cell under specific conditions, where the rate of the electrode reaction is controlled solely by the mass transport of the electroactive species to the electrode surface. Beyond this point, increasing the applied potential does not increase the current. It is a key parameter in voltammetry.
