Peak current
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008565
The maximum current observed in a voltammetric experiment, occurring at a specific potential as the analyte undergoes an electrochemical reaction. This current is directly proportional to the concentration of the electroactive species and the square root of the scan rate in techniques like cyclic voltammetry. It is a key parameter for quantitative analysis in electrochemistry.
