Peak potential
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008573
The potential at which the maximum current is observed in a voltammetric experiment, corresponding to the most efficient electrochemical conversion of the analyte. This potential is characteristic of the redox reaction occurring and the specific electrode material. It provides qualitative information about the identity of the electroactive species.
