Peak resolution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008574
A quantitative measure of the separation between two adjacent peaks in a chromatogram or spectrum. It is calculated based on the distance between the peak maxima and their average peak widths. A resolution of 1.5 is generally considered baseline separation, indicating that the two components are completely resolved.
