Peak area method
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008562
A quantitative analytical technique that determines the concentration of an analyte by measuring the area under its corresponding peak in a chromatogram or spectrum. This method assumes a direct proportionality between the peak area and the amount of the substance present. Calibration curves are typically constructed using known concentrations to relate measured peak areas to unknown sample concentrations.
