Mass peak
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006986
A signal in a mass spectrum that corresponds to ions of a specific mass-to-charge ratio (m/z). The height or area of the peak is proportional to the abundance of that ion. Each mass peak provides information about the molecular weight or fragmentation pattern of a compound.
