Mass of the stationary phase

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013259

The total mass of the active solid or liquid stationary phase material contained within a chromatography column. This value is distinct from the mass of the inert support material onto which the stationary phase might be coated or bonded. The mass of the stationary phase is a parameter used in calculating retention volumes and other fundamental chromatographic quantities.
