Peak analysis

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008560

The process of identifying, quantifying, and characterizing individual peaks within a spectroscopic or chromatographic spectrum. This involves determining parameters such as peak position, height, area, and width, which provide information about the chemical species present and their concentrations. It is a fundamental step in interpreting data from techniques like NMR, IR, and gas chromatography.
