Peak width at half height
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008577
The horizontal distance across a chromatographic or spectral peak measured at half of its maximum height. This parameter is inversely related to the efficiency of a separation or the sharpness of a spectral feature. It is commonly used in chromatography to calculate the number of theoretical plates and assess column performance.
