Effective theoretical plate number
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003593
A measure of chromatographic column efficiency that considers only the time an analyte spends interacting with the stationary phase. It is calculated using the adjusted retention time and the peak width at half height. This value provides a more accurate assessment of the separation power for retained compounds compared to the total plate number.
