Height equivalent to an effective theoretical plate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005158
A measure of chromatographic column efficiency that accounts for the dead volume in the system, reflecting only the portion of the column actively involved in separation. It is calculated by dividing the column length by the effective plate number. A lower value indicates superior separation performance.
