Plate height
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009028
A measure of the efficiency of a chromatographic column, representing the length of the column required for one theoretical plate. A smaller plate height indicates a more efficient column, leading to narrower peaks and better separation. It is typically expressed in units of length, such as millimeters (mm).
