Half-peak potential
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005074
The potential at which the current in a voltammetric peak, such as in cyclic voltammetry, reaches half of its maximum value. This parameter is often used to characterize the reversibility of an electrochemical reaction and can provide information about the electron transfer kinetics. For a reversible system, the half-peak potential is related to the formal potential of the redox couple.
