Half-chair
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005073
A conformation of a six-membered ring, such as cyclohexane, that is intermediate between the chair and boat forms. In this conformation, four atoms lie in a plane, while the other two are displaced on opposite sides of that plane. It is a high-energy transition state or an unstable intermediate in the interconversion of chair conformations.
